Blanche owns and operates Dreamweavers
Dog Training in Ailsa Craig, Ontario. Blanche purchased a promising
young border collie after seeing an agility demo at a fair 11 years
ago. She set out to learn how to train a dog for this exciting sport.
Blanche has always been eager to teach using positive methods and
was thrilled to find Susan and her positive training methods at
a seminar in 1997. She has been training with Susan at Say Yes since
1998.
Blanche and her husband, Brian own five border collies, three of
which came as rescued dogs. She has extensive experience creating
a working relationship with adult re-homed dogs.
Blanche is currently competing with two border collies at the Masters’
level of USDAA and AAC. Her older dog, Nutmeg, earned her MAD title
in 2001 and has qualified several times for the Steeplechase, Grand
Prix and DAM team finals. She is now experiencing great success
in veteran’s classes and finished 3rd at the Ontario Regionals
in 2003. Gypsy has successfully competed at the 2002 and 2003 Ontario
Regionals and at the Canadian Nationals in Palgrave, Ontario in
the very competitive 22” class. Blanche has begun competing
with a young border collie, Tempo, in 2002. In 2003, Blanche welcomed
a new border collie puppy, Maple, into her life.
