The world of “Dog Obedience” first caught
my attention in 1964, just after I moved to Canada from Britain.
I have raised and trained three generations of Conformation and
Utility titled Dobermans as well as a Canadian and American UD Border
Collie named “Crash”. I have been a member of the Hamilton
Dog Obedience Club for over 30 years and an obedience judge since
1970. Over the years I have had the good fortune to judge many obedience
trials and tournaments in Canada, the United States, Bermuda and
Japan. I share my life with Susan Garrett and our 6 dogs: Shelby,
Stoni, Twister, Buzz, Quid and DeCaff. In September of 2000 I took
an early retirement from my position as an Instrument Maker at a
Cancer Research and Treatment Centre and now spend my time busily
keeping things running here at Say Yes Dog Training.
